Daniel Robert Larson (born November 15, 1998), also known as Danderson, is an autistic, schizophrenic American lolcow who is a self-proclaimed professional singer/songwriter, fashion model, actor, and internet celebrity. He has gained a large following due to his intriguing and controversial content, including his multiple bans for nudity on live streams, "running" for President of the United States, allegations of pedophilia, and his obsession with various celebrities, particularly Grace VanderWaal.

Daniel considers himself to be a mainstream celebrity, egged on by trolls and weens who want to see him make a fool of himself. He is a niche internet microcelebrity, having a following of "fans" who watch his antics.

Early Life

Daniel as a child.

Daniel Robert Larson was born on November 15, 1998, in Lancaster, California, to his parents Elisabeth Lee Shimer and James Travis Larson. He had two younger twin sisters who passed away shortly after birth for unknown reasons. He also has a half-sister named Aurora.

There is scant information regarding Daniel's early childhood. However it is known that at about age 11, Daniel's grandmother Nancy Shimer became his legal guardian due to his neglectful upbringing thus far. Despite her kinder treatment of Daniel, Nancy was known to be enabling of his bad habits. Daniel's father claimed that in response to Daniel painting on his grandmother's walls, rather than punishing him, she instead opted to give him M&Ms. Nancy would enroll Daniel in the Tennyson Center for Children, a center for rehabilitating and assisting children with intellectual disabilities.

A 2012 news report on KWGN regarding Daniel's time at the Tennyson Center for Children states that he grew up in an extremely neglectful home.

At the Tennyson Center, Daniel met Bob Proctor and was diagnosed with ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, and an intellectual disorder. There is speculation that Daniel has more mental disabilities, as Daniel's father has said that Daniel has a "...laundry list," of mental issues.^{[Citation Needed]} It is possible that his neglectful upbringing left him with childhood trauma which exacerbates his already chaotic behavior. There also appear to be signs of fetal alcohol syndrome, meaning his mother likely consumed alcohol during her pregnancy.^{[Citation Needed]}

In July 2019, Nancy passed away from cancer. Daniel was 20. Before her death, she sent Daniel to a state-run group home program for the disabled, where he remained for about two years before alternating between living with other individuals and living on the streets. Daniel's mental health began to deteriorate significantly due to a confluence of challenging circumstances. These circumstances include living on the streets, geographical isolation from family/friends, and limited access to mental healthcare.

Early Internet Career/Trolling

In March of 2020 that Daniel would start using social media, creating the account @daniellars20 on TikTok, however this account was hardly used. He then made the @daniellarsonfans account, which quickly gained a large following due to Daniel's odd looks and behavior. Daniel's first video to gain attention was called "Good night everyone," in which he stiltedly wished his fans good luck while his phone buzzes in the background.

Daniel would begin posting increasingly popular videos on his various TikTok pages in May of 2020, notably during the George Floyd protests/riots which he believed were led by his fans. His posts quickly drew the attention of trolls, who would become increasingly aggressive in their methods over time. What started off as simple annoyances, such as spamming comments, would soon turn into harassment as some trolls would go as far as to call Daniel's cell phone. However a few trolls in particular would take advantage of Daniel's gullible nature in order to manipulate him. In early 2020, signs of Daniel being manipulated by managers became quite apparent in his TikTok posts. One such video is of him claiming to be a model for "Southwest Models and Talent Agency."

Flexburger would become Daniel's first of many managers in early 2021. Flexburger obtained this role by impersonating an executive of a record label.

Daniel would start to post some of his most well known videos around this time, such as the infamous "Jumping Jacks for George Floyd" video and his announcement for his Presidential Campaign. Iconic posts such as these caused Daniel to accumulate over one million followers on TikTok, prompting the creation of r/Daniellarson in October of 2020. Daniel also started live streaming on TikTok live and host zoom meetings with his managers, who would get him to post a music video called "Fake News."

Due to his virality, Daniel began posting multiple videos daily of him doing incredibly monotonous things like eating food, as well as various videos of his Zoom meetings.

Pinterest Leak

On November 20, 2020, a Pinterest account belonging to Daniel was leaked by Flexburger. This leak would be one of many instances which showed Daniel's pedophilia. The account had albums filled with images of children, maps of the United States which listed the age of consent for each state, and photos of his various underage celebrity crushes. Daniel posted his first apology/confession hours later, in which he admitted that he had used the, "...pictures of girls and masturbate[d] to them... a long time ago." He would then delete the Pinterest account and immediately go back on his apology, claiming that the account wasn't his and that, "...the media blew up the Pinterest situation out of proportion."

The leaking of his Pinterest account made Daniel go into full lockdown. He not only disabled comments, but he also deleted or set to private several of his videos, especially ones about Grace VanderWaal. He even went as far as to disable his TikTok account, but only temporarily.

Following this brief period of heightened paranoia, Daniel's posts would return to normal. However, the leaking of his Pinterest account made certain actions of his particularly alarming, such as the instances of him duetting very young girls on TikTok. Yet despite his usual posts returning, he entered a feud with (trolls impersonating) The Diligent Broadcast and Roach Records. In posts regarding the feud, he threatened to sue them for ganging up on him and faking the Pinterest account. Following many subsequent schizo-posts, Daniel would take a break from TikTok beginning on December 20, 2020, and lasting all the way up to March of 2021.

2021

After returning to social media in March of 2021, Daniel immediately declared war on Flexburger after discovering that he had been the one who leaked his Pinterest account. In response to this, Flexburger manipulated Daniel into flashing his penis on TikTok live in front of 500 people, thus resulting in an immediate and permanent ban from TikTok. in order to circumnavigate the ban, Daniel created many different alternate accounts, however these too would often get banned. Daniel moved to YouTube and Likee, however he did not give up on his TikTok career.

Flexburger was already an enemy of r/Daniellarson. Eventually Flexburger was doxxed and ceased communications with Daniel.

After returning to TikTok later that year, Daniel posted mostly about Grace VanderWaal. He released Roaring Thunder on July 15, which became his most well known song. It's around this time that The Fog started appearing in his videos.

The Fog

This instance of the fog was posted in July of 2021 on one of Daniel's previous TikTok accounts, @daniellarsonishere.

Daniel embarked on his first distinct "arc," known as the Fog arc. Following the instructions of his management, he covered his camera with tape, resulting in a hazy, fog-like visual effect over his recordings for several months. During this period, he shared various videos featuring this unique visual style. One of the most memorable videos he posted was on TikTok, in which he said, "Rest in Peace George Floyd, the police should be terminated." In addition to these more serious videos, Daniel continued schizoposting, with videos such as him rubbing his nipples to Darci Lynne and Grace VanderWaal, and apologizing to "Penus Ajun Grill," and a three-minute altercation with his caretaker, Jonas.

These 'Fog' videos gained significant attention on social media, coinciding with the peak of "the Fog" meme. This meme warned viewers of an ominous, Lovecraftian fog. Many comments on Daniel's videos referenced this meme, with phrases such as "The fog is coming." It's probable that Daniel didn't fully grasp the meaning behind these comments.

California Sidetrack

Daniel took the midnight train to California on August 20, 2021 in a failed attempt to meet his father, Travis Larson, who in fact was a troll impersonating him. As a result of his unannounced departure, Daniel was dropped from his disability program, thus leaving him almost entirely dependent upon Bob and the kindness of strangers. Some highlights of Daniel's brief stay in the golden state include threatening Grace VanderWaal's boyfriend, shaving himself a mohawk, and accidentally ending up in Emeryville instead of Los Angeles.

Soon after, his case manager Samantha relocated him back to Colorado Springs.

Colorado

Daniel would go silent for a week after his TikTok account @daniellarsoninsocal (registered to document his time in California) was banned. Upon his return, Daniel declared his hatred for the police and made a video of him twerking while mouthing off about how bad they are. In another video in which Daniel is visibly inebriated, he exclaimed that he, "...wants there to be riots."

In November of 2021, Goldberg Shacklestein was first mentioned by Daniel. Goldberg was actually Samantha, one of Daniel's managers, incognito. According to Daniel, Shacklestein was the supposed leader of the New York mafia.

One video was posted around that same time in which Daniel, Jonas, and Gavin have a verbal altercation. This video was the first of many such posts.^{[Citation Needed]} Around late 2021 to early 2022, it became quite common for Daniel to interact with trolls posing as either Grace VanderWaal or Jojo Siwa. Oftentimes these trolls weens had such an influence on Daniel that he would fulfill requests on their behalf, even if the requests were degrading or incriminating.

2022

Unhinged Arc

Cutting ties with his case manager meant that Daniel had lost his last professional source of mental healthcare, which caused him to further succumb to the influences of his management and manipulators. 2022 had a rough start for Daniel; he would record videos of him humping his camera for Grace, and take out his anger on inanimate objects when he was upset. His behavior was so bad that his then manager, Bianka, quit for fear of mistreatment.

Things only went downhill from there, as he posted videos of him crying in bathrooms, punching himself in the genitals, and ranting endlessly about Grace VanderWaal. On May 13, Daniel went viral for the Porch Charging Incident. The conflict started when the owner of the property that Daniel was trespassing on asked him to leave, to which Daniel responded by calling the man racial slurs.

Daniel's unhinged posting seemed to end when he ran the Denver Colfax Marathon. He stopped posting anything of interest until June, in which his unhinged posting would begin yet again.

Unhinged Arc 2

Daniel, after getting arrested for criminal mischief, got into a conflict with his case manager Andrew, and as a result, would start to blame him for anything and everything that went wrong in Daniel's life. He began to have a large amount of micro-meltdowns over him where he, as usual, hit himself and said slurs, claiming that Andrew stole money, damaged his career, and leaked a photo of him jerking off completely nude in a public bathroom.

Daniel, after the end of the Andrew conflict, started showing up to Roe v. Wade protests. On the 27th of June, he would attend an open-mic where he told his life story, how he exposed himself on TikTok, his obsession with Grace VanderWaal, and that his grandmother died of cancer because of his autism. This incident would get his name out to many Roe v. Wade protestors and people online, resulting in him getting recognized by multiple people at another Roe v. Wade reversal protest.

Briiink would make his first appearance 2 days later on a livestream. Briiink would run into Daniel his charging his phone, where he got an autograph and paid Daniel money. It's also around this time that Quacko started to manipulate Daniel.

The day after this, Daniel would re-enter his dispute with Andrew, as well as start to post about his impending court case for criminal mischief, where he begged for thousands of dollars for "court," not specifying why exactly he needed it. Andrew would generously handle this for Daniel and open a bank account for Daniel, and Daniel would repay him by claiming that Andrew stole "$3,000 a month that's coming into my name."

At the end of June, a ton of events would happen: Bob would re-enter the limelight after telling Daniel that he could not finance Daniel's music career, Daniel would get kicked out of a school for trespassing, made a new TikTok account, Daniel would premier his song "Something More," would expose the fact that r/Daniellarson2 made a Discord where they manipulated him and Daniel would do a Q/A on r/Daniellarson 2.

Daniel kicked off July with yet another meltdown, this time over Quacko telling him to delay his release of "Something More," which Daniel would release that day. He would then go around town getting banned from multiple restaurants and a hotel. He would then enter a feud with a TikTokker named Kanye556 after Daniel defended his use of the n-word by saying it was okay because he said it with an "a" instead of an "er." He would then claim he entered a coma after this due to heatstroke, continuing his schizo-posting after this with seemingly no issues at all.

Return of the Headset

After an interview with Monkeyman56783, he would fire his case manager, Andrew. You would expect after this he would instantly go off the deep end, but he actually started a Twitch where he made enough money to get a hotel, an AirBnB, and a $400 pair of headphones. He would also start hanging out with Briiink more, where Briiink, despite knowing that Daniel is a pedophile, would buy him meals, went bowling, and went to Hooters with Daniel.

Then the Toothbrush Incident happened, where a video of him shoving a toothbrush up his rear end and then brushing his teeth with it would be leaked on the Daniellarson subreddit. Daniel would smash his headset on the side of the road as a result (which would actually be found), starting the July 2022 Electronic Destruction Spree. He then bought a replacement Spiderman-branded headset meant for children, which would also be smashed later. Continuing this, he would then smash his phone, which he would replace with a tablet that he would drop and break in the video explaining that he smashed his phone.

On July 25th, Grace's mom, Tina, would message him on Facebook Messenger:

"Stop saying my daughters name. Stop saying you are in a relationship with her. You are scaring her and our family. Everything you have said and done has been in your own mind. You need to access some mental health support and stop harassing my daughter. I have contacted the authorities and will continue to press the issue of [sic] you don't stop making disturbing videos. You [sic] followers have harassed my daughter long enough. STOP"

She would then later comment on one of his posts:

"God Daniel….. do you think I’m watching your lives? whoever just contacted you claiming to be me was not me. I have no idea who Ox even is. I don’t want you to talk about Grace or our family anymore. I have only replied to you once when you DM’d me a couple of weeks ago - then I told you to stop saying Grace’s name but clearly you refuse to listen. Stop all of this. Everyone [who is] communicating with you are trolls trying to get you to do crazy things. Please STOP."

He would then ask her if she minded that he asked her a question, to which she responded:

"I do mind. Stop everything to do with our family ESPECIALLY my daughter. You are making me reply publicly so you can’t censor what I’m actually saying to you. I’ve spoken to DDRC as well as the Denver police and Denver FBI. Do you really want to continue this? Again, just stop. Your reality is not real."

Daniel, after a break in posting, would reveal his new manager and enabler, Ox. After firing him almost immediately, Ox, for a change, would actually positively influence Daniel; he would get Daniel an ID, and made Daniel apologize for saying the N-word. He would then stop this string of good influence by convincing Daniel that there was a nuclear attack on livestream for money, which would get Ox fired and reported to the police, and Daniel's Twitch account banned.

Trench Foot Arc

Daniel would be hospitalized for trench foot in the beginning of August, 2022.

Los Angeles Arc

On December 10, Daniel had a meltdown that escalated into a physical altercation with Bob. This resulted in Daniel being immediately flown out of Denver by Bob. Daniel became homeless in Los Angeles, California.

Personal life and family

Despite Daniel's frequent online postings, significant aspects of his personal life and thoughts remain obscure. This lack of clarity arises partly from the complexity and vagueness of the topics he engages with, compounded by his own inconsistent and incoherent thought processes. Additionally, Daniel often shows indifference towards matters that do not directly impact or immediately satisfy him.

His family life is tumultuous. His father was absent and his mother was neglectful to the point that Daniel was removed from her custody. It should be noted that Daniel's mother had lupus and may have been physically incapable of caring for Daniel. His grandmother, while the most qualified to care for Daniel, was not capable of providing the proper care for somebody with as many mental disabilities as he had. His two step-sisters are unknown, and his two biological siblings passed away almost immediately after birth. He has had numerous caretakers, either voluntarily or assigned by the state. Following his grandmother's death in 2019, Bob Proctor has been Daniel's on-again off-again caretaker.

Daniel is mentally ill and is afflicted with “a laundry list of mental illnesses,” according to his father. Daniel's physical health isn’t much better either, as he always seems to be falling apart at the seams.

He has, or has had scabies, trench foot, hypodontia, autism, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.^{[Citation Needed]}

Finances

Due to his mental issues, Daniel has struggled to properly manage his money.

Daniel is often homeless, and lives off of the charity of others. Despite that, he has gone to Disneyland, paid thousands of dollars in legal fees (either through fines or court/bond fees), and destroyed over one thousand dollars of electronics in a spree.

Infamy and social media

Daniel calls himself “famous” and a celebrity. Daniel is not a mainstream celebrity; he is more properly described as a lolcow.

Obsession with Grace VanderWaal	Has, and continues to, obsess over Grace VanderWaal due to his physical attraction to her. He began his obsession despite knowing that she was underage at the time.
Ill treatment of Bob Proctor	On numerous occasions, Daniel has taken advantage of, and even assaulted, his friend and mentor Bob Proctor. In one particular instance, Daniel had a meltdown in Bob's car.
Theft	Daniel has had many instances of dining and dashing.
Spread scabies around Disneyland	Wandered around Disneyland despite the risk of his scabies spreading.
Tormented Miss P	Destroyed her house after being confronted over damaging a window, encouraged weens and trolls to show up to her house and ship packages to her.
Punched a bodega worker	Punched a random Bodega worker for kicking him out after disturbing the peace within the store.
Racism	Repeatedly uses the N-word, hates Jews and talks about Goldberg Shacklestein and the New World Order.
Allegations of sexual assault	A man he dubbed "Sleepy Joe" was at a movie theater, peacefully resting when Daniel walked up to him, started messing with him, and talked about filming porn with Joe.

Daniel, on multiple occasions has been accused of being a pedophile. Strong evidence came about through the content leaks of his Quora and Pinterest accounts.

Rage and Meltdowns

Daniel has repeatedly demonstrated a propensity for volatility and abrupt outbursts of anger. These episodes are often captured on video. His reactions manifest in various forms and come from many triggers. While most of these outbursts are verbal, they occasionally escalate to physical aggression, involving instances where he has struck individuals, including Jonas and Bob Proctor, as well as himself.

A rare external video of one of Daniel's meltdowns was uploaded to Reddit on September 30, 2022. The video shows Daniel hitting himself and kicking store windows. The video was supposedly filmed by Brink.

Refusal to accept help

Although there are people willing to help improve Daniel's quality of life, he consistently rejects help. Instead, he chooses to spend money from supporters on extravagant hotel rooms, indulgences at Dave and Busters, and other non-essentials. As such, Daniel remains homeless and financially unstable.

Trolls, Weens, and Manipulation

Trolling. Trolling never changes. The end of the troll happened exactly as we predicted; too many trolls, not enough lolcows or bandwidth.^{[Citation Needed]}

Trolling is a constant element of the internet and is likely to affect almost anyone who uses it. In various ways, trolls provoke reactions from their victims or targets. In Daniel Larson's life trolls play a significant role by either directly or indirectly influencing events. Their reasons for interacting with Daniel vary, from positive intentions like those of Ox, to negative ones like Flexburger, or even extremely negative ones like Quacko. Despite their differing motives, a commonality between trolls is that their actions often harm Daniel.

Manipulation Tactics

Here’s a short list of ways trolls and other Daniel Larson followers are able to get Daniel to do various things, good or bad.

• Catfishing
  • Trolls will imitate celebrities, such as Darci Lynne or Grace VanderWaal, in order to extract information. They will occasionally imitate little girls to catfish Daniel.
  • This strategy is often effective when Daniel is in a 'relationship'; he can be as manipulative as those who deceive him and frequently cheats on his catfishes with other catfishes.
• Managing
  • Trolls often approach Daniel posing as significant figures from record labels or celebrity managers to sign him onto their fictitious labels.
  • These individuals also "directly manage" Daniel, rather than being assigned to him by a "company", typically resulting in stronger control over Daniel.
  • This type of trolling was more prominent in 2021, especially during the Headset Era.
• Saviors/White Knights
  • Various people who want to help Daniel will get in contact with him under the presumption they can “fix” him.
  • If not immediately rejected by Daniel, these individuals typically become frustrated quickly and abandon him, with the notable exception of Ox.
  • White Knights are often found in the comment sections of Daniel's videos. Often times they leave encouraging words.
• Ween-ing
  • Weens will write him in the comments section or gain a short period of contact with Daniel and will either scold him or feed him some random piece of information. Sometimes weens are successful as in the case of Goldberg Shacklestein and Cyraxx.

Trolling Tactics

Trolls employ their tactics and strategies to elicit a specific reaction from Daniel, often aiming to provoke his rage. Trolls have distinct approaches to agitate Daniel, often in more subtle or cunning ways.

Calling

Daniel's phone number is easily leaked; in fact, he has inadvertently revealed it himself multiple times. With no straightforward method to change it, he frequently receives calls from trolls, a situation evident during his live streams—and previously in many of his TikTok videos—where his ringtone and vibrations frequently interrupt the audio.

The trolls who contact him typically harass him by impersonating others and manipulating him into doing harmful activities.
