Daniel Robert Larson (born November 15, 1998), also known as Danderson, is an autistic, schizophrenic, self-proclaimed professional singer/songwriter, fashion model, actor, and internet celebrity. He has gained a large following due to his intriguing and controversial content, including his multiple bans for nudity on live streams, him running for President of the United States, allegations of pedophilia, and his obsession with various celebrities, most notably Grace VanderWaal.

Daniel would consider himself a celebrity, but he hasn't sold a multi-platinum album, nor has he been awarded with an Oscar.

Early Life

Daniel as a kid

Daniel Robert Larson was born on November 15th, 1998, in Lancaster, California, to his parents Elisabeth Lee Shimer and James Travis Larson. Tragically, he had two younger twin sisters who passed away shortly after birth for unknown reasons, and had a half-sister named Aurora.

Not much is known about his young childhood, but it is known he spent a lot of time with his grandmother Nancy Shimer. She was known to be enabling of Daniel's bad habits, Daniel's father telling of a story when Daniel painted on his grandmother's walls, and instead of punishing him, she instead chose to give him M&M's.

At about age 11, he was forced to no longer live with his parents after being taken away from his neglectful and possibly abusive parents. The next person to serve as Daniel's legal guardian would be his previously mentioned and enabling grandmother, Nancy Shimer, whom would enroll him in the Tennyson Center for Children, a center for rehabilitating and assisting children with intellectual disabilities. Here, she allowed his dreams of going to college for film school and music production flourish.

A 2012 news report on KWGN regarding his time at the Tennyson Center for Children states that he grew up in an extremely neglectful home.

In the center, Daniel was diagnosed with ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, and an intellectual disorder. It's possible and constantly speculated that he has more disorders as, in the words of his father, Daniel has a "laundry list" of mental issues. It is also presumed that his neglectful parents have left him with a great deal of childhood trauma, which may exacerbate his already chaotic behavior. There are also signs of Fetal alcohol syndrome, meaning his mother likely consumed alcohol during her pregnancy.

In July of 2019, when Daniel was 20, Nancy passed away from cancer. Before her death, she sent Daniel into a state-run group home program for the disabled, where he remained for about two years before alternating between living with other individuals and living on the streets. Daniel, being on the streets, having most of his close family in another state, experiencing great hardship, and having little access to mental healthcare, started taking a turn for the worse in terms of mental health.

Early Internet Career/Trolling

It would be sometime in March of 2020 that Daniel would start using social media, launching the account @daniellars20 on TikTok, him first posing a video of him doing various things. He would then make the @daniellarsonfans account, where Daniel would start to gain a following rather quickly due to his odd looks and behavior, his first video to gain attention being a video named "Good night everyone," where he stiltedly wishes his fans good luck while his phone buzzes on in the background.

Daniel would begin posting increasingly popular videos on his various Tiktok pages in May of 2020, notably during the George Floyd protests/riots which Daniel believed were led by his fans. This would attract the attention of trolls, who would start by doing relatively harmless pranks on him, such as them spamming his comments section, calling him, baiting him into reactions, and claiming to be Grace VanderWaal whom he said was a role model for him. This would escalate into him becoming under the influence of manipulators called "managers" by followers of Daniel and even Danderson himself, whom would "troll" Daniel by manipulating him into recording/livestreaming him saying and doing stupid things. In early 2020, he first began to show signs of having managers very early on in his Tiktok videos, with him posting a video of him claiming to be a model for "Southwest Models and Talent Agency."

Flexburger, a manager that would enter the scene in early-2021, would become the first well-known manager of his. Flexburger contacted Daniel claiming to be a record label and would begin to impression him.

Daniel would start to post some his most well-known videos around this time, him posting the infamous "Jumping Jacks for George Floyd" video and his announcement for his Presidential Campaign. This would eventually gain him a million followers on Tiktok, which would prompt the creation of r/Daniellarson in October of 2020. Daniel would also start live-streaming on Tiktok live, him hosting zoom meetings with his current management, who would get him to post a music video called "Fake News."

Daniel would ramp up the amount of videos he posts, him posting multiple videos daily of him doing incredibly monotonous things like eating food, as well as various videos of his zoom meetings.

Pinterest Leak

Then, on Novermber 20, 2020, Daniel would have his first Pinterest account leaked by Flexburger, which was a huge bombshell on the community as it was the first of many indications of his pedophilia. He would have albums of images of children, maps of the age of consent, and photos of his various underage celebrity crushes. Daniel posted his first apology/confession hours later, where he says he used "pictures of girls and masturbate[d] to them... a long time ago," claiming to have changed. He would then delete the Pinterest account and immediately go back on his apology, claiming the account wasn't his and that "the media blew up the Pinterest situation out of proportion."

This would cause Daniel to start locking down his accounts. He would private multiple videos of his, would disables comments and likes on his videos, and would delete videos of his, especially ones about Grace VanderWaal. He would then completely disable his account before putting it back up.

Night of Broken Danderson

Daniel would continue posting various videos, most notably one duetting a little girl, and would enter a feud with "The Diligent Broadcast" and Roach Records, where he threatened to sue them for ganging up on him and faking the Pinterest account. After a little more schizo-posting, he would enter a short break from December 20, 2020 to March of 2021.

2021

Daniel Larson, after returning to social media in March of 2021, would kick of May by declaring war on Flexburger after discovering that Flexburger was the one who leaked his Pinterest account. Flexburger, in revenge, would manipulate Daniel into flashing his penis on Tiktok live in front of 500 people and would get banned immediately after. Daniel would then repeatedly make new accounts that would get banned off Tiktok, which would severely limit his posting. He would skidaddle off to Youtube and Likee for the time being, but wouldn't give up on his Tiktok career.

Flexburger was already an enemy of r/Daniellarson, and following this declaration, was doxxed and stopped communicating with Daniel.

Daniel, afterwards, would mostly continue posting about Grace VanderWaal. Notably, he would release Roaring Thunder on July 15, which would be his most notable and best song. It's around this time that The Fog started appearing in his videos.

The Fog

The following occurrence of the fog was posted in July 2021 on one of Daniel's previous TikTok accounts, @daniellarsonishere.

Daniel embarked on his first distinct "Arc," known as the Fog arc. Following the instructions of his management, he covered his camera with tape, resulting in a hazy, fog-like visual effect over his recordings for several months. During this period, he shared various videos featuring this "unique" visual style. One of the most memorable videos he posted was on TikTok, in which he says "Rest in Peace George Floyd, the police should be terminated." In addition to these more serious videos, Daniel continued his typical schizo-posting, posting videos like him rubbing his nipples to Darci Lynne and Grace, him apologizing to "Penus Ajun Grill" over his viewers torching it in a George Floyd riot, and a three-minute altercation with Jonas.

These "Fog" videos gained significant attention on social media, coinciding with the peak of the "Fog" meme trend. This meme warned viewers of an ominous, Lovecraftian fog. Many comments on Daniel's videos referenced this meme, with phrases like "The fog is coming." It's probable that Daniel didn't fully grasp the meaning behind these comments.

California Sidetrack

Daniel would take the midnight train to California on August 20th, 2021 in a failed attempt to meet his father, Travis Larson, who was impersonated by a troll who said he'd meet Daniel in the golden state. He would be dropped by his disability services as a result of him going to a completely different state without warning, and would kick off his new life in California by comparing himself to Michael Jackson, threatening Grace VanderWaal's boyfriend, shaving himself a mohawk, and accidentally ending up in Emeryville instead of Los Angeles.

He would almost instantly be relocated back to Colorado Springs by his case manager, Samantha.

Colorado

Daniel would go silent for a week after his TikTok account @daniellarsoninsocal, made in preparation of him going to California, got nuked. He would return by declaring his hatred for the police and making a video of him twerking while mouthing off about how bad the police are, as well a video of him getting drunk, declaring that he "wants there to be riots".

Following an October of more Graceposting and a stay at a Colorado mental hospital, November 2021 would start off with the introduction the ficticious Jew Goldberg Shacklestein (whose actual name was Goldberg Shekelstein but was mispronounced due to Daniel's speech impediment). According to Daniel, Shacklestein was the supposed leader of the New York mafia and was depicted as a threatening figure.

Jonas returned in another video, which featured a verbal altercation between Daniel, Jonas, and Gavin in their group home. This theme of meltdowns and conflicts continued, as Daniel's current Grace VanderWaal and Jojo Siwa trolls seemed to get bored and broke up with him. This led to Daniel threatening Jojo Siwa and experiencing a full-on meltdown over Grace. This didn't seem to hold him down too much, though, as he would soon start asking young women to date him. He would also fire his case manager Samantha at the prompt of his management, cutting off the last truly positive influence in his life (at the time, at least.)

2022

Unhinged Arc

After the firing of his case manager, Daniel would completely lose his last professional source of mental healthcare and would further succumb to the influences of his management and manipulators. 2022 would start off with a particularly violent and unhinged spree from Daniel; he would record videos of him humping his camera for Grace, threatening to break down his walls, his streak being so bad that his current manager, Bianka, quit out of feelings of mistreatment.

This streak wouldn't end, as he would post videos of him crying in bathrooms, punching himself in the dick, and more absurd Graceposting (mostly him bleating about his relationship with Grace). This would reach his apex on May 13th with the Porch Charging Incident, where he called some random man whose property he trespassed on the n-word.

Daniel's unhinged posting would seemingly end with him running the Denver Colfax Marathon. He would then stop posting anything of interest until June.

Personal life and family

Daniel’s personal life and thoughts, despite his incessant posting, have large blind spots either due to both the vague and complex topics not being able to be fleshed out because of Daniel’s lack of cohesive and consistent thought, and Daniel typically not caring about things that don’t affect or instantly gratify him.

His family life is tumultuous. His dad was never there for him in the first place and his mom whom he was taken away from was neglectful, partly impacted by her being paralyzed from lupus and mostly her lacking foresight. His grandmother definitely did not know how to properly care for a child as troubled as Daniel, her consistently enabling his activity and unintentionally feeding his delusions. His two step-sisters are unknown (and should stay that way), and his two potential siblings passed away almost immediately after birth. He’s had numerous caretakers, either voluntarily or assigned by the state. He had Bob Proctor, who left him after he was beaten by Daniel.

Mental and Physical Illness

Daniel, as previously mentioned and extremely obviously, is mentally ill and is afflicted with, quoting from Daniel’s father, “a laundry list of mental illnesses”. His physical health isn’t much better either, him basically falling apart at the seams.

He has scabies, trench foot, hypodontia, autism, ADHD, bipolar, schizophrenia, and probably more issues we do not know about.

Finances

Due to Daniel's mental issues, Daniel has a huge lack of ability to handle money.

Daniel lives in homelessness and off of the charity of others, and despite that, he has gone to Disneyland, paid thousands of dollars of legal fees (either through fines or court/bond fees), and destroyed over 1 thousand dollars of electronics in one short fanatical spree.

Not only that, but he has a huge gambling issue due to him not understanding statistics, probably because of his autism. He hasn’t been a huge gambler, but often spends small amounts of money at casinos which compounds into a large amount of spending over a long course of time.

Infamy and social media

Many people, including Daniel, would refer to him “famous”, and possibly even a celebrity. But “famous” is a really, really bad word to describe his internet popularity, and infamy would be a better, but not entirely accurate, word to describe his popularity. Daniel wasn’t always infamous, however, and could be described as famous in his early days, before the many controversies (listed below) happened or were exposed to the general public, or the public at all really.

Daniel’s fame comes entirely from social media, although it is precipitously crossing into the real world due to his travels to NYC. He’s had a countless amount of social media accounts on TikTok, Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, Reddit, Pinterest, Quora, Likee, and many, many more.

Presidential Campaign

Daniel, in early 2020, ran for president of the United States for unknown reasons, probably a mix of manipulation, mental illness, and overinflated ego. Weens and followers of Daniel often refer to him as "Mr. President", which has currently unknown effects on him.

Controversies

Despite Daniel being mentally ill and losing a lot of his culpability, he is still an awful person whose actions reflect his actual thoughts, despite the manipulation and insanity. Daniel has a long history of violent and repulsive actions, so many in fact that it’d be difficult to not write it down in a condensed form. Here is a short list of horrible things he has done/does:

Daniel Larson is, transparently, a pedophile. Even if you wave away the admissions and stalking of child celebrities and sting operations, there is still irrefutable evidence he is a pedophile because of things like his Quora account and Pinterest.

Rage and Meltdowns

Daniel proven on multiple occasions to be very volatile and vulnerable to sudden fits of rage (probably due to his autism), them almost always being captured from the perspective of Daniel’s phone. Daniel acts out in multiple ways for a sleuth of reasons, most of his rages being mostly verbal, but sometimes physical, sometimes involving him hitting people, like Jonas and Bob Proctor, and himself.

A rare external video of Daniel was uploaded to Reddit on September 30, 2022 of Daniel hitting himself and kicking store windows. The video was supposedly filmed by Brink.

Trolls and Manipulation

Trolling. Trolling never changes. The end of the troll happened exactly as we predicted; too many trolls, not enough lolcows or bandwidth.

Trolling is a classic staple of the internet and will happen in some way to almost anyone that uses the internet. Be it ragebait, clever pranks, or constant harassment, trolls have a plethora of ways in getting reactions out of their victims/targets. Trolls, either directly or indirectly, are the main driving force behind events in the Daniel Larson story. Trolls have many different motivations behind associating with Daniel, whether it being positive like Ox, or negative like Flexburger, or it being extremely negative like Quacko, there are some commonalities between them all, most notably that they all harm Daniel in some way, intentional or not.

Manipulation Tactics

Here’s a short list of ways trolls and other Daniel Larson followers are able to get Daniel to do various things, good or bad.

• Catfishing
  • Trolls will usually imitate celebrities, such as Darci Lynne or Grace VanderWaal, and catfish Danderson. They will occasionally branch out and riskily imitate little girls to catfish Daniel.
  • This usually works, even when Daniel is already dating as Daniel is just as manipulative as the manipulators and constantly cheats on his catfishes with other catfishes.
• Managing
  • Trolls will approach Daniel claiming to be various important figures for record labels and celebrity managers and will draft Daniel onto their fake labels.
  • These people can also directly manage Daniel, instead of being assigned to him by a company, which usually tends to have a greater grasp of control over Daniel.
• Saviors
  • Various people with a hero complex will approach Daniel, under the naive presumption they will “fix” him because short conversations over the phone can solve extreme psychological issues and years of manipulation.
  • These people, if not immediately rejected by Daniel, will usually very quickly become frustrated and abandon Daniel the only exception really being Ox.
• Ween-ing
  • Weens will write him in the comments section or gain a short period of contact with Daniel and will either scold him or feed him some random piece of information. These usually fail, but sometimes succeed as in the case of Goldberg Shacklestein and Cryaxx
• White Knighting
  • White Knights are often found in comment sections of Daniels videos giving him praise or telling Daniel they love them.

Trolling Tactics

Trolls, much like the manipulators, have their own tactics and strategies to get what they want out of Daniel, this being him raging. There is some crossover between the manipulator tactics, but there are some unique ways that trolls mess with Daniel, mostly in ween-ish ways.

Calling

Daniel's number is leaked with ease, and with no accessible way to change it, he is subject to constant calls from trolls, which can be seen during his live streams where his ringtone is constantly cutting off the audio to his streams.

The trolls who call and text him usually just harass him, but in some of the more notable and infamous examples where they impersonate others, much like the manipulators, and get him to do harmful things.
