Travel Arc

The Travel Arc refers to a period of time, spanning from December 2022 to May 2023, during which Daniel Larson traveled across the country, visiting several different states. This lengthy arc coincides with the Homeless Era, and was in part caused by the December 10th Incident.

Daniel first traveled by plane from Colorado to Los Angeles, California, where he remained for a few weeks, visiting Disneyland and contracting scabies. He then took a Greyhound bus to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he trespassed in several casino bathrooms before getting banned from all MGM properties. After about one month in Las Vegas, he took another bus across Arizona, stopping in Phoenix, Tucson, and Benson along the way. Daniel then traveled through Texas, with the goal of making it to Houston. He stopped in El Paso, Big Spring, Sweetwater, San Antonio, and finally, Houston. While in Houston, Daniel's then manager, IWishIHadADad, bought him a plane ticket from Houston to Newark, New Jersey. He then made his way to New York City, starting another sub-arc of the Travel Arc. After some time in New York City, Bob bought Daniel a plane ticket back to Denver, Colorado, thus ending the Travel Arc.

Los Angeles

A couple of Community posts from December 10.

In late 2022, Immediately following the December 10th Incident, Bob purchased a ticket for Daniel to be flown to Los Angeles, California on the last flight out of Colorado Springs that day. It was heavily speculated by the community that he would be institutionalized in California due to the 5150 laws, allowing for the involuntary psychiatric hold of individuals deemed a danger to themselves or others for up to 72 hours. Little information was given following his arrival. When Daniel first arrived in Los Angeles, he had no luggage or belongings.

In LA, Daniel would be spotted at a strip club on the 6th of January, despite claiming multiple times to not have any money. Daniel also visited Scientology centers, and considered enrolling in college. According to Oxis, Daniel, post-Scientology center visit, was convinced that the Illuminati was after him.

In some YouTube community posts from this time, he would also claim that he wanted to drop his disability services and that he had no control over his life, while claiming the next day that being in California meant "[he could] be in control of [his] own life".^{[citation needed]} On December 17, 2022, Daniel would successfully host a fan meetup, having six people visit him on Hollywood Boulevard.^{[citation needed]}

During his stay in California, he was speculated to have spent at least 125 days with the same clothing on. This, paired with no showers & frequently sleeping in porta-potties and garages, was a catalyst for Daniel eventually contracting scabies. Scabies is a disease where mites burrow deep in your skin and cause intense itching, typically contracted when one has poor hygiene. Daniel often roughly scratched his skin to relieve the itching, but his dirty fingernails only made the situation worse. Finally, Daniel went to the emergency room, where he was officially diagnosed with Scabies. He was prescribed an $80 lotion, but instead used his money to buy stocks and desserts at fancy restaurants.^{[citation needed]}

Disneyland, and further scabies trouble

On January 17th, 2023, Daniel was able to enjoy a day at Disneyland due to increased amounts of donations from fans.

Daniel had been hanging around downtown Disney all morning, all the while spreading his newly contracted scabies. Because scabies is a very spreadable disease, members of California became concerned about the public health threat Daniel was imposing. Warnings of Daniel went viral on Facebook, and members of his own community became concerned with the possibility of a deep infection, as well as his pedophilic tendencies. While at the theme park, Daniel uploaded many videos detailing his day. It started with a video claiming that he will need to collect donations for a $50 tour that was available in the park. He later got a churro and ate it in front of a merry-go-round.

The climax of the Scabies Arc began in late January of 2023. Daniel posted an ominous video of him having extreme itchiness due to the bugs living in his skin. His scratches were so ferocious, he caused himself to bleed severely. Within hours, Daniel sought medical help at an emergency room again, this time receiving a shot of Ivermectin and getting a washcloth bath from a nurse.^{[citation needed]} As a result of the drugs being injected into himself, Daniel made a goodbye post to the creatures that had been living under his skin for the prior month, creepily laughing.

Following this visit to the hospital, his symptoms died down. It is unknown if he still has scabies.

Las Vegas

Who was in Paris?

The second stop of the Travel Arc began when Daniel left Palmdale, California, on February 13, 2023, going on a bus to Las Vegas, Nevada.

His reasoning for going to Las Vegas was to gain, "...more popularity," and hoped to win enough money to rent a $3,000 dollar apartment in Beverly Hills, California.^{[citation needed]} Many fans speculated that he would get arrested due to the police in Las Vegas being more strict than in California due to the city's notoriously high crime rate.

Daniel arrived in Las Vegas on the night of February 13, 2023; posting a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower replica as well as a video of him wandering the Strip.

As soon as Daniel arrived in Las Vegas, he met a group of people whom he claimed to be his new friends. On his TikTok account, @daniellarsonalone, he posted videos of him and his new friends doing various activities with each other. Throughout the day, Daniel recorded and posted numerous videos, including his reaction to accidentally donating 40 cents to "fucking children's hospital", which subsequently went viral.

During the night of Valentines Day, one of the videos Daniel posted involved him approaching a drunken couple. When the female accidentally dropped her coin purse, resulting in coins spilling out on the ground, Daniel helped pick it up and handed the purse back to the young woman. He then attempted to convince the inebriated couple to pay for a room for him to stay the night in. This did not succeed. He eventually, "...lost them," and made multiple videos asking them to meet him in multiple places, assuming they were even watching him at all. It can be inferred that they abandoned him once he reached the Mandalay Bay.

He wandered through various casinos, including Mandalay Bay and Circus Circus, interacting with fans and seeking donations.^{[citation needed]} Despite attempting to search for his new friends by visiting places like the Adventure Dome, Rainforest Cafe, and Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen, all resturants and places Daniel obviously could not afford. As such, he continued to request financial help. His phone battery was low, and he faced pressures from his online popularity, promising to go live later once settled in a motel.^{[citation needed]}

February 15

On February 15, 2023, Mythic_sparrow discovered Daniel's location, leading to calls to an MGM Casino, where Daniel was sleeping in.^{[citation needed]}

At approximately 2:00 AM, Daniel was found in The New York New York Hotel & Casino bathroom, and confronted by two black security guards. Presumably after he showed resistance, they began to aggressively attempt to get Daniel off the toilet he was sleeping on, in order to remove him from the property. Daniel responded by screaming and told the security guards that they weren't going to do anything as the guards continued to yell at him to leave. Eventually, the guards managed to open the stall door. This prompted Daniel to seemingly lunge at the guard at the stall door. The guard told him that he needed to calm down and asked if he was acting stupid. Daniel fought with the guards the entire way out, repeating that he hadn't done anything wrong.

What does B-A-N-N-E-D mean?

Daniel was left extremely distraught by the incident. He posted many videos of himself visibly distraught along and hitting himself, and telling a park guard that the security guards that removed him from property, "...sexually tried to harass me." The park guard explains to Daniel that the area was closed and that he must leave. Daniel did not, and continued to ramble nearly incomprehensibly to the man. Later in the day at another casino, Daniel was reported to have trespassed, which escalated into him being banned. The security guard explained that Daniel was caught sleeping three times, which Daniel denied. At this point, Daniel came very close to being arrested, but eventually he gave up and left on his own terms, stating that the security guards were, "...lying about everything."

By daytime, he visited MGM Casino Hershey World, requested donations, and claimed he was going blind.^{[citation needed]} After this, a group of people on the Daniel Larson World Discord server found Daniel's location using his TikTok videos. A member named "Stoney" confronts Daniel and tells him "not to talk to the kids" nearby, Stoney and others then confront the security about Daniel's pedophilia resulting in Daniel getting kicked out of the establishment.^{[citation needed]} Afterwards, Daniel was banned from every MGM property. This was substantiated after a user on Reddit revealed Daniel was now in the casino's Biometrica database.

Daniel is also led to believe that him receiving donations will accrue MGM rewards points (despite him being banned from all of their establishments), so he can get free motel rooms. This is despite the conversion rate from points to rewards being very poor. Apparently, nachos were more important to Daniel than a roof over his head. He blew his remaining $50 on these nachos, likely costing him $25-40, even though a room at The Strat was only $32 (checked by a fan).

The Second Dark Age

Following a very eventful February 15 morning, Daniel posted a TikTok around 6:00 PM, stating that if he was able to get a motel room that night, he would do a two-hour livestream. However, this livestream never ended up happening, as Daniel would completely fall off the grid. The Daniel Larson community faced a tense week, with no sign of Daniel in over seven days, marking the second major blackout concerning Daniel Larson in over two years.

Users on r/Daniellarson began to speculate that Daniel Larson had been placed into a psychiatric hold. Others speculated he was living in the storm drains under the Las Vegas strip, becoming a "mole", where there was no cell service or place to charge his phone.

Around February 18, users of r/Daniellarson would raid the r/LasVegas subreddit, after he went missing, posting Daniel-related topics such as missing posters of Daniel. Other content posted was the Toothbrush Incident video, these posts were quickly removed by r/LasVegas mods. This caused the moderators of r/Daniellarson to close the subreddit "until further notice," fearing potential banning of the subreddit. In a post made by u/ArthurDentonWelch, it was confirmed that anyone who posted in the Las Vegas subreddit from that moment forward would be permanently banned from r/daniellarson.

Potential sightings

While Daniel was missing, there were some claims of sightings and interactions with varying degrees of validity. Daniel's sighting almost immediately shut down all other theories regarding his situation.

Trudyparker1

TikTok user "trudyparker1" uploaded a video of someone they claim is Daniel Larson, and much of the community seems to agree. The description of the video says: "Daniel larson 12:24 PM PST Feb 16 2023 Vegas outlets". Trudyparker1 is very adamant that he saw Daniel's face, thus confirming it was him.

Ill_Editor1804

On February 22, 2023, a Reddit user named "Ill_Editor1804" made a post claiming to have witnessed Daniel being kicked off a bus for refusing to pay the fare. The user uploaded a video that they captured shortly after the interaction. The man in the video is wearing the same clothing that Daniel was last seen in, which adds to the credibility of the sighting. Notably, he also appears to be bald and is seen with Daniel's comically large nose. It is very widely believed that this was, in fact, Daniel.

The user made an update to the post, claiming that this sighting had occurred on Sahara Ave. after the westbound freeway entrance (coordinates appear to be: 36.14426, -115.1823), and that Daniel had a phone in his hand, which was either dead or broken. The user also mentioned that Daniel sounded very upset and frantic, "almost like something did happen".

The Return

On February 23, 2023, at approximately 4:30 PM PST, Daniel returned to TikTok on a new account named "DanielLarsonLV." He uploaded a series of videos explaining his absence, claiming it was due to an attack by two "fans." According to Daniel, these two fans approached him at a casino, offering to buy him food. While walking with Daniel, one of the fans struck him from behind and pushed him to the ground. The two then ran off with Daniel's phone. The altercation resulted in Daniel receiving a fractured skull, which Daniel claimed would take three-to-six months to heal. This diagnosis occurred during a hospital visit, which seems to verify claims of people seeing Daniel getting into an ambulance. Following this, Daniel contacted the authorities and pressed charges against the two, stating that one seemed more complicit than the other.

In addition to his return, Daniel claimed that he was receiving $380 in food stamps per month and had secured housing through a company called Sober Homes. Both of these services are based in Nevada, indicating that Daniel had no plans to return to LA at the time.^{[citation needed]} Despite this, Daniel later continued the Travel Arc.

The identity of the attackers is completely unknown. Daniel described one of them as a long-haired African American male with dreads, and a small Hispanic male who was the person whom he believed had taken his phone. There has been speculation as to who his assailant was, however, no claim has been validated.

Daniel claimed that Grace VanderWaal's ex, Tyrone, was responsible for attacking him.^{[citation needed]} He further alleged that an African-American male with long dreads attacked him. Members of the community named him Tyrone after Daniel Larson called him this on his social media. Some members of the fan base believe that this attack was planned by either Daniel Larson's old management or by disgruntled fans. Though, this is most likely false.

On February 27, 2023, at 11:14 PST, Daniel posted a video to his TikTok account saying that Sober Homes (or as he pronounces it, Sober Homies), a housing service he was attempting to get into, had kicked him out of their service, due to Daniel not having enough money to pay for his rent. Earlier in the day, Daniel had stated that he would be homeless for another few months. This resulted in the February 27 situation, during which Daniel uploaded over 50 videos in one day. Later that same day, Daniel dine and dashed at a Dave and Buster's. Daniel made a few TikToks talking about his bank account while sitting at a booth inside the Dave & Busters, before making another one asking for a $30 donation to pay his bill. Around an hour later, he posted a video of him walking outside of a building, explaining that there was an issue with his credit card, and that he was banned from the shopping center that the Dave & Busters is located at. A bit after that video, he posted another video in which he claims that the February 23 attack happened on Fremont Street

On February 28, Daniel privated his TikTok account after his phone number had been leaked. The leak may be related to him giving his phone number to somebody pretending to be Grace VanderWaal. Later that night, Daniel was encouraged to go live, which he did. He spent the entire livestream asking for Grace and Dave VanderWaal to join. Since his account was private however, it was hard for some fans to watch it if they had not been following him already. The livestream ended swiftly, and mostly uneventfully.

Firework Threat, and aftermath

While Daniel was inside a restaurant, he started uploading several videos. Around this time, Daniel posted a video in which he said, "Where is the nearest firework shop?" and then, "I have an idea," while smiling at the camera. Many were alarmed by this.

The situation escalated ten minutes later, when Daniel uploaded another video. He had left the restaurant and was walking outside. In this first alarming video, Daniel said, "Ok folks, get ready, for the biggest incident of all of Daniel Larson history so far, let's do this." A few videos later, Daniel posted the most concerning one, in which he claimed he was going to go into a casino with a firework then, "...I can see how real firing works," before laughing at the camera. Considering what would happen a year after this, these threats would not serve him well.

Daniel also went live shorty after posting the videos. The videos resulted in the TikTok account, daniellarsonlv, to be banned while he was still live streaming. This would not be Daniel's last time making threats. Shortly after 'daniellarsonlv' was banned, Daniel created a new account on tiktok called 'lovedaniellarsonforever.

After creating the account, Daniel uploaded three videos. His next posts would be made on his YouTube account, danielarson2023. He uploaded a video using the YouTube Shorts feature in which he said that the 'lovedaniellarsonforever' account had been banned. Strangely, the TikTok account was still up, as well as the three videos that were on it. However, it is more likely that the account was hacked and he no longer had access to it. Many people in the comments pointed this out, but Daniel never responded to any of them.

Fans share their predictions on what will happen next.

Daniel went on to create a new TikTok account, daniellarsonnyc. In the first of many videos of this account, a red wall with holes can be seen behind Daniel.^{[citation needed]} Daniel discusses a wide variety of topics in the beginning of this account, such as a possible collaboration with Snoop Dogg, a guest appearance on Ellen DeGeneres's show, and requests for his fans to spread this new account to the subreddit and the Daniel Larson Wiki. Daniel made several other videos at this location, one in which he said that his livestream for that night was 'cancelled' because he did not have enough followers.

The next day, March 2, fans in the subreddit noticed that Daniel had not uploaded anything new that day. They made theories, such as Daniel getting on a bus back to Denver to find Bob. Their questions were answered when multiple Redditors say that they spoke with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, or LVMPD, as well as casino security, confirming that Daniel had been arrested for trespassing at an MGM Casino.

There was an immediate reaction in the subreddit, with some members saying that he would get hurt in prison, others glad he was arrested, and some asking for security camera footage of the arrest. Most people seemed to agree that he would probably get out soon, as it was only a misdemeanor. Some fans wanted to keep him in prison, and decided to send the video of the firework threat to the police department to possibly get Daniel in more trouble.

The End

Between March 2 and 14, 2023, Daniel did not post to any of his social media accounts and claimed to have been in a mental hospital in Las Vegas. Daniel claimed that one of the psychiatric doctors didn't want to release Daniel due to his online presence, and that, "....they said that it was ugly." Daniel claimed that he had been put there due to another attack at The STRAT Hotel, which resulted in him being banned for life.^{[citation needed]}

On March 17, Daniel posted a video in which he stated, "Okay, my bus ticket is now booked from Las Vegas to Phoenix."^{[citation needed]} Later, Daniel uploaded 11 videos of himself on the Las Vegas monorail. He also uploaded a screenshot of Phoenix Arizona on Google Images, and a picture he took of himself with a sausage in his mouth. Around six hours later, he uploaded another video saying, "On my way to Phoenix, baby." He documented his five hour journey through several videos in which he is on a bus. In these videos, he recorded himself or the landscape as the bus passed it by.

Eventually, he made it to Phoenix. He made several videos thanking people for Cash App donations, as well as mentioning he was not taking his Latuda medication because it was, "...making my speech slurred and it was making me more confused to where I couldn't think."^{[citation needed]}

Arizona

Daniel arrived in Phoenix, Arizona on March 18, 2023, where he posted videos thanking viewers for donations, rapping about his travels, and announcing he had stopped taking his medication; he then traveled to Tucson the next day, interacting with fans and requesting more funds for his next destination, El Paso, but changed his plans due to death threats, ultimately being located by fans in Benson, Arizona.

Texas

Daniel's journey from March 22nd to March 31st involved getting on the wrong bus to El Paso, where he faced threats from a troll named "Si," a police encounter in a restaurant, numerous relocations due to troll activity, and ended up in Houston, where he faced further harassment, eventually leading to a series of distressing events and police interactions before leaving for San Antonio and later Houston.

New York

Daniel's chaotic venture to New York City involved purchasing a plane ticket with the help of his managers, meeting fans, dealing with trolls, facing harassment, and getting banned from TikTok. Most importantly, he met up with World of T-Shirts after his online feud escalated. Daniel would be in New York from April 3 to May 20.

Return home

On May 20, 2023, months after first having begun his travel arc, Daniel finally secured a plane ride out of New York City. This came after being deceived multiple times with false promises of transportation to various destinations across America, including a supposedly all-expenses-paid trip to Disney World courtesy of, "Justin Bieber." Daniel documented the flight with TikTok slideshows and also shared it with Reddit user scnyc who captured some photos of him. Upon landing in Denver, Colorado, he shared a video in which he gave a heart-felt, "Finally... I'm back home," blowing a kiss to the camera. Later that night, Daniel posted photos of some drinks, claiming to be enjoying dinner with Bob at Olive Garden. This is where the Travel Arc ends, and the Cameo Arc officially begins just days after.
