Revision as of 20:15, 27 June 2023

On May 31, 2023, Daniel Larson created a Cameo page .

After World of T-Shirts made a page, Daniel fans commented that he should do the same, and eventually Daniel, wanting the extra income, posted about it on his YouTube community page then created the account.

Overview

Cameo is a website where you can pay celebrities to say (largely) whatever you want, usually for between 10 to 50 ish dollars. After Daniel’s enemies Michael Quinn and Joshua Block created pages, members of R/Daniellarson began encouraging Daniel to make one, stating it would make him a lot of money.

Pricing

When this article was created on June 1, 2023, it was $30 to have a custom video created and $3 to message Daniel.

It started at $20.99, went up to 24.99, then to 59.99, then reportedly to as high as $85. Once no one bought those, the price was lowered again.

On June 16, 2023, Daniel raised the price to $50 stating on his YouTube community page: "I just had to update the minimum amount for cameos because most have been complete nonsense[1].

Later, on June 18th, Daniel raised it tenfold to $500 for a personal Cameo. Again giving an explanation on his community page: "I just had to change the price of the cameos due to the current situation and legal crap"[2] There is also a $99 booking fee bringing the price of a Cameo to almost $600. Later on the 18th, it was increased even more to $830 with that same $99 fee, almost a thousand dollars for a cameo. Even later that night, it went up to $1,069[3], then slightly back down to $900. Adding the booking fee, $999 to book a video.[4]

The next day, on June 19, the price was brought back down to $50 though it was then followed by an increase to $100. The number of reviews, currently 42, still has not changed since he started rapidly changing his pricing. However, this does not necessarily mean that he has not sold a single one since.

On June 20th the price was lowered to $40 and now has 43 reviews.

Outcome

Daniel has actually made a significant amount of money on it. There are 42 current verified reviews, and considering the prices have been much higher and lower, assume that everyone paid $30 and everyone that bought it left a review (this is unlikely). Using these conservative assumptions, it can be assumed Daniel has made at least $1260 on videos alone. Once you throw in the $3 messages and the fact that most likely not everyone that bought left a review, Daniel has probably made well over $1300 in Cameo sales.

On June 16, 2023 Daniel uploaded a video to YouTube where he announced that he had made enough money to pay for more studio sessions.[5]

The above figures were accurate in the beginning of June 2023. Considering price fluctuations there is no real way to know how much Daniel has made, but due to the fact Daniel claims studio sessions to be around $2,000 and he has said he has enough for more (see above) we can assume he has made over 2,000 dollars.

Cameo Response

Despite the fact that numerous people, including Flexburger, reached out to Cameo to try to get him banned, Cameo has said that Daniel has not broken their terms of service and as such will continue to be welcome on their platform.

Other

Since the beginning of the Cameo arc, Daniel has not been posting his Cashapp as much on his YouTube or TikTok. He is likely more flush now with cash, spending more money on things like quesadillas, alcoholic drinks, and beer as well.

Once some of the money went away and Daniel had less to burn, he started posting ways to give him money again- but interestingly it’s mostly something along the lines of “Check out my cameo page [link]. It seems he’s expecting more from a cameo from donations. He almost never posts his cashapp as of June 20, 2023.

Videos

On June 21, 2023, Leanna, a Cameo user, left a review for a video they ordered with 1 star because Daniel read all of the instructions instead of following them.

bruhh i paid $40 for him to not even do what i asked. bye danile larson i want my money back - Leanna[6]
