School Years
Daniel Larson originally went to the Tennyson Center for middle school education, and for his high school years, went to Sobesky Academy.[1] Daniel has not talked much about school, but presumably was a social outcast due to his plethora of issues.

Math

Math is an unfortunate fact of life many people have to endure in the modern era. For most people, it is a minor inconvenience, but for Daniel, math is more of a barrier. His math abilities are a major problem with how he deals with his finances, his lack of them probably impairing his judgment of chance which encourages him to further waste his money on gambling.
Daniel can at least figure out 6+6 (it's trelve).
Daniel struggles in this clip to understand exponents and, worryingly, subtraction, which is probably where much of the excessive spending comes from.
Literacy
Daniel is, surprisingly, literate. That doesn't mean he's able to use proper grammar, or even be able to type anything really cohesive, but at the bare minimum, he can read and write basic information.
