Arcs Involved: First Housing Arc

Gavin, often nicknamed Hal Stewart, was Daniel's mentally ill housemate in Daniel's group home with Jonas. Gavin was shown in a lot of Daniel's videos during the Hype House Arc, where he became well-known for having frequent meltdowns, which Daniel recorded and posted on TikTok. He was also known for his high-pitched screams during the meltdowns. Daniel would often blame the breaking of items and holes in the walls on Gavin and his meltdowns. Gavin was sometimes nicknamed "Hal Stewart" in Daniel's TikTok comments due to his strong resemblance to the character from Megamind.

Since Daniel quit his housing/disability services with Jonas, Gavin has not reappeared in the Larsonverse. Gavin was a key figure in the Hype House Saga.

November 26

On (presumably) November 26, 2021, Daniel posted a video on @daniellarsonlive where Gavin can be heard screaming in the background. Throughout the video, Daniel's phone repeatedly vibrates from incoming calls.

November 29

During one of Daniel's last streams before he got kicked out of his housing service, Gavin had the cops called on him by caretaker Jones due to Gavin supposedly slapping him. During this altercation, Gavin had a meltdown. Loud noises could be heard in the background, which was probably Gavin damaging walls and breaking items. During his fit of rage, he yelled his mother's phone number, which could be heard on Daniel's live, which had around 7000 viewers. Gavin was spooked by the cops arriving at the house.^{[citation needed]}

Touching Incident

During the latter period of the Hype House Arc, Daniel got into a verbal altercation with Gavin. Daniel recorded the encounter with Gavin as he attempted to touch him, while Daniel shrieked at him to get away. Gavin ultimately cornered Daniel in the living room before finally leaving.^{[citation needed]}

Virgin Discussion

In one of the more humorous videos, Gavin makes one of his first appearances in Daniel's stream. While Daniel was enjoying a few slices of pizza, he mentioned that he wanted to have sex with Rihanna. This started a discussion with Gavin, who repeated himself saying that he was a virgin. Daniel also told Gavin he should train with Dwayne Johnson to get in shape. Gavin replied, saying he wanted to get in shape to have sex and be a "real man".^{[citation needed]}

Boyfriend

There was an encounter with Daniel discussing whether he wants to be his boyfriend. Gavin agreed to be Daniels' boyfriend in the short video.

Stand Down

On November 26, 2021, Daniel argued with Miranda about being woken up at 7 in the morning. During the argument, Gavin intervened, telling Daniel to "stand down." Daniel immediately kicked a hole into the kitchen wall, before following Miranda up the stairs, continuing to yell at her. The aftermath of the situation ends up being that Daniel lies about it, and then Jonas allegedly calls the cops on him.

Run

There is a video of Daniel clearly distressed, when Gavin begins to scream at him and threaten him. When he comes past, Daniel proceeds to run upstairs, lock himself in a room, begin sobbing, and kick a hole into the wall multiple times.

Aftermath

Gavin was not seen again after Daniel left Jonas' home. However, in October 2023 Daniel believed that Gavin was one of the r/Daniellarson mods. He was also told that Gavin snuck in a phone, and that Gavin's mother was threatening DDRC to sue Daniel.
