August 31st Incident

Overview

On the 31st of August 2023, Daniel Larson and Bob Proctor were involved in a physical altercation. This later resulted in an accident involving a car and an interaction with the Police. This shows the worst of Daniel as he gaslights, manipulates and assaults Bob, never takes accountability, acts self-centered, is ungrateful, and lies, seemingly showing consciousness of guilt.

The Incident

The video starts with Daniel arguing with (or more accurately gaslighting) Bob, claiming it is his legal right to bring his phone to a dinner, that he is never helpful anymore, and that Bob doesn't want him to use his phone in his presence. All this from Bob just wanting Daniel to put his phone in the console. Daniel starts filming, claiming it is for his protection. Bob is seemingly worried for himself as Daniel might become violent again. Daniel asks Bob if he will take him to dinner, when Bob, scared of Daniel, starts yelling at him to get the "fuck out of my car!". Bob grabs Daniel, and threatens to break his arm. Daniel shrieks "if you hit me with your car, ni---r", and then exclaims "holy fuck, where did my phone go!?" Many times Daniel shouts "Don’t fucking grab me like that!".

Daniel and Bob then begin hitting each other, causing Bob again to yell for Daniel to get out of his car. Bob continues to reiterate this while Daniel searches for his phone, then eventually Daniel finds it again. The video ends with Bob pushing Daniel out of his car, then speeding off. Daniel also starts to yell that Bob had ran over him. some people believe that Bob might've ran over Daniel's toes in his haste to leave, some believe his car had just barely made any contact with him. However, Daniel is an unreliable narrator so we can't be certain on this. If Daniel was really ran over, he would’ve obviously been limping, or showing any signs of injury, plus when the supposed injury happened, Daniel didn’t react to the pain.

Dan yells, swears and throws slurs at Bob shortly before the camera turns off.

Later

Later, Daniel would go live on YouTube hitting things (and himself), breathing very heavily, and reiterating "Bob just ran me over with this fucking car" and "Bob is a bitch", using the n word again, while starting to cry as he continues to hit things, seemingly for sympathy.

Aftermath

That evening Dan would stream a conversation with the police as he tells the cops what happened.

In this Dan continues to falsely claim that it was his right not to put his phone in the glove compartment. Dan actually lies several times, but mostly gives a truthful statement about the encounter.

It is unknown if any charges were ever filed against Bob- it appears that none were, despite Daniel actually filing a police report.

Reactions

Although no notable person in the Daniel Larson story has reacted to this event, many in the community were angered with what Daniel had done. The incident with Bob alone made many frustrated with Daniel’s entitled behavior. There are few, if any, defending Daniel for this, as there’s no excuse for anything Daniel did, as he showed that he was aware of what he was doing being wrong.
