The Tennyson Center is a facility for troubled and neglected youth in Denver, Colorado where Daniel Larson formerly attended. He was attending the center due to being neglected by his parents, especially his mother, Elisabeth Shimer. He attended for a total of 3 years, however he only lived there for one and a half years, his grandmother moving from California to care for him.
