Revision as of 17:19, 28 June 2024

On January 23rd, 2023, Reddit user u/kramsdae posted previously unseen photos of Daniel from his childhood, specifically from when he attended the Tennyson Center and Sobesky Academy in 2017[1]. After being questioned as to where they acquired these photos, another Reddit user, u/Canned_Legs, confirmed that they were the one who supplied the original poster with the photos. Additionally, another reddit user, u/flyingfoxandwings, would answer questions in the comments of said post, as they had also went to school with Daniel.

Funnily enough, the release of these photos coincided with the FlyingFoxandwings AMA, where another one of Daniel's classmates from around this time answered questions about him.

AMA

Question 1

u/smokesomuch2: I've never seen these before holy shit

u/kramsdae: It’s from his time at sobesky academy, it’s a k-12 school for kids w behavior issues. You are not meant to graduate from there, you are supposed to be reintegrated back into public school.

That never happened for Mr. President

u/flyingfoxandwings: Yes, this is true. Danny "graduated" from Sobesky. The intent with Sobesky academy was to create a transition back to "regular" schooling. In Order to be considered for transition, you had to show progress and eventually excellence in your areas of weakness, and Danny kind of just was at a plateau. Post-Sobesky was the beginning of his decline.

u/kramsdae: I just saw that you had mentioned you also attended sobesky at the time of his graduation. Was he ever involved in any kinds of incidents that could serve as precursors to his life nowadays? Must be such a trip for you lol, being classmates w Daniel Larson 🤣

u/flyingfoxandwings: But there were no signs (at least from what I saw) that he had delusions to this extent that we see on the internet today. That's what personally shocked me the most was seeing him let go of all of that suppression. This has nothing to do with his time at Sobesky but I am still in contact with some of the other students, and one of them was testifying in court today. They went straight past Danny's court hearing, and I kid you not they immediately dialed me up to tell me he's on the felony floor of the courthouse. It's pretty nuts honestly.

u/flyingfoxandwings: Really The biggest thing was that he would occasionally have tantrums that would cause a "close and lock", which was essentially when a kid was so incredibly out of control that the school would have to go on a lockdown. I personally never caused a close and lock but I remember a kid in a neighboring classroom caused one and as we were sitting in silence you could hear computer parts and other things getting thrown against the wall. So that kind of can give you an idea on just how severe the tantrums occasionally got.

Question 2

u/sickofchildren:Do you know what year these are from roughly? He’s beakmaxxed here

u/flyingfoxandwings: This was 2017! I know because I have the exact yearbook. I actually designed the cover for it and had a hand in creating it. This was the year he graduated, as you can see by the senior photos.

u/sickofchildren: Damn. Sorry for all the questions but what was he like back then? Would you ever be willing to do an AMA or anything like that?

u/flyingfoxandwings: Potentially. I've already said this before, he was a very reserved wallflower. He didn't even seem like he had that many issues besides autism. He was very quiet, and occasionally some of my classmates would call him Danny phantom. That is a fact. He was often times, escorted by staff and the closest that I ever had contact with him was when we were both helping a sister gym class with a lot of the younger kids. Even then, he was more on the reserved side. We didn't really converse all that much, even though I was nice to him. He definitely was having a gassy day, however. I was saved by the bell when a brawl broke out between the little kids in the class. While Danny's escort took him out, I was left to pry the kids apart. I didn't hate him whatsoever, and I was very nice to him. I didn't really know what was really going on with him. The school kind of kept things that way with everybody. so considering he seemed relatively presentable, it was kind of a shock when I found out how he turned out.

u/sickofchildren: From reading this I really do think that the loss of his grandmother caused some kind of mental breakdown. He’s not a great guy obviously because of all the pedophilia and public nuisance but I imagine it could’ve been at least slightly different for him

u/flyingfoxandwings: Yes, I think that that was the catalyst for all of this. He's not a good guy, but you can't help but feel pity for him when you see how he descended into complete and utter madness.

Question 3

u/canned_legs: what would you like to know? (yearbook girl hi)

u/Majestic-Fondant-738: Hello just share everything wack you can tell us about him. How did he behave around you? Did he have any friends? Was he a weirdo in HS? Etc anything that comes to mind. We want to know thanks!

u/canned_legs: he was a classic tennyson kid really. when i saw the video of him pulling the fire alarm at olive garden first thing i thought was he never stopped being a tennyson kid lol. he didn't stand out much at tennyson, everyone pulled that kind of behavior when they got escalated but danny was much older i was very young. a common thing with kids who lived/attended tennyson was something called going "on run" which pretty much consisted of running in the hallway being aggressive and evading staff as they chase you around so they could put you in the "chill room". i also remember he threw a chair at the window in the computer lab that overlooked the library and knocked down one of the light fixtures. but yeah that sums it up lol
