The murder of Issy Simpson took place on Monday, January 12, 1998, when Simpson , a deputy in the Laurens County, Georgia, sheriff's office, pulled over motorist and Vietnam War veteran Daniel Larson for speeding. A verbal confrontation escalated to a shootout resulting in Larson murdering Simpson. The murder continues to receive national attention because the traffic stop and shootout were captured on a personal video recorder Simpson had placed on his patrol car dashboard and activated when he stopped Larson .

Just look at that tongue.

The BumsnDrones incident, or, simply, the drone incident, refers to an event that occurred on December 30th, 2023, wherein Daniel was stalked by a drone operated by TikToker @BumsnDrones.

On December 30th, 2023, Daniel uploaded a TikTok of himself outside the Burger King located at 651 16th Street in Golden, Colorado; buzzing can be heard in the background of the video. He pans his camera to a drone flying above him while, telling viewers that "drones will be reported", and threatening unspecified legal action against BumsnDrones. The drones continued until New Year's Eve 2023 when Daniel had called the police after seeing possibly the same drone again. In a further TikTok, it shows police possibly confronting the person responsible.

On New Year's Day 2024, TikTok account @BumsnDrones posted a picture of Daniel Larson seemingly defending himself against the drones, hinting at a Daniel Larson feature. Finally, on the 3rd and 4th of January, @BumsNDrones finally uploaded a series of Daniel videos he'd captured.
