The "edit" button is found on the top right side of the page, next to the search bar. For people new to the MediaWiki suite, it is heavily recommended that you click the regular "edit" button and not the "edit source" button, as it is much more user friendly. When editing pages on the wiki, make sure that the information you are adding is relevant, accurate, and sourced (If possible). Remember, every edit helps!
Things to know
- When editing without an account, your IP address is publically displayed in the “recent changes” section, and DLW Discord server. You can contact the admin on our Discord to remove it, but you cannot remove it yourself.
- You cannot upload videos to the wiki, as it increases bandwidth, which then increases the cost to keep the website up. You have to upload it onto archive.org and embed it into articles.
Best Practice
Cite Sources!
When editing, please at least cite your sources when you make claims. If you find a claim without a source, you can insert Template:Citation Needed.
Use proper grammar!
Remember to always use grammatically correct language, and to double check your work before saving your changes. Having readable, accessible work on the wiki is what we strive for.
Use Amboxes!
If you want to add a special message to an article, use Template:SpecialMessage instead of adding your own text, as the formatting can be inconsistent and amboxes just look better and are more functional.
