Knowing how to properly cite and archive sources of information is incredibly fundamental to the quality and reliability of the Daniel Larson Wiki. However, due to the nature of Daniel Larson content, and other lolcow-adjacent content, sources of information often get taken down from most mainstream websites, which makes archival much more important on the DLW than other wikis.
It is theorized that there is more lost media of Daniel than found media, and while that is heavily debated, we should try to not make it a reality.
Citations
If a claim is made, then it should be cited. If there is content (photos, videos) below that proves the claim, you do not need to cite it, but it is recommended that the video or image in inserted, or [See below] is put next to said claim, to clarify it. If a claim cannot be substantiated, either [Citation Needed] needs to be added, or the information will be deleted altogether.
Archiving
Websites that delete content should be immediately archived
These websites are known to regularly remove Daniel Larson content. Please do not cite them without archival.

Videos should be saved and archived on Archive.org. You can embed the Archive.org template and insert the link to the video to put it on an article.
- Archive.ph
Archive.ph can be used to archive links to websites, as it loads webpages out much smoother than Archive.org, which can potentially cause components of websites to stop functioning altogether.
