The Golden Hotel Incident
On December 23rd, 2023, Daniel Larson went live on his TikTok account. During the live, he is kicked out of The Golden Hotel, in Golden, Colorado.
Prior to Incident
Daniel's trolls, including people who likely impersonated Clark (Daniels Manager), Warren (a former manager), however Grace Vanderwaal was impersonated. Daniel claimed to book a hotel room with Grace. Grace's impersonator "booked" the hotel room to simulate that Daniel should expect to meet her at the hotel. Earlier in the day he stated that "in less than 24 hours, things will go to shit" [1], which is possible that it is connected to this incident. About 2 hours prior to the incident, Daniel stated that "Grace and I are working on getting a hotel for the night." [2]. The live stream at this point gained around 100,000 likes and about 6,000 viewers. Many viewers tried to get Daniel to believe multiple things such as Grace's death, or telling him to run because the FBI is after him.
Prior to entering the hotel, Daniel tried to call the hotel and ask about the reservation, to where there was not one. Clark, Daniel's Manager attempted to say that there was a reservation. Daniel prior to the incident also stated that Warren (Daniel's former manager) is impersonating himself because Warren was fired.
At the hotel, he entered and after being informed he does not have a reservation the staff received a phone call about him warning him of how these types of incidents are common. Daniel is then asked to leave, Daniel leaves the lobby. While walking around on the sidewalk, Daniel sees a black car that he claims has been following him since his court hearing. He proceeds to film the car.
The Incident
Daniel quickly returns to The Golden Hotel to ask for the phone number of the complainant. Addressing Daniel by his first name, the front desk workers refuse to give Daniel the number. One of them claims to have received calls from neighboring businesses, warning them about Daniel. The manager the asks Daniel to leave, threatening to call the police if he doesn't. Daniel yells "Why would you call the police if I am not doing anything!" then claims that he has a reservation and that the trolls are messing with him and the motel. The manager tells Daniel that it doesn't matter if he has a reservation or not, she can deny service to anyone. This makes Daniel very upset, and he curses at the staff and pushes a glass sign to the floor. He also threatens to break his probation and flee the state of Colorado due to being kicked out of The Golden Hotel. The manager chases Daniel out of the lobby while screaming at him to get out and not come back to the property.
Post Incident
After running away from the hotel, Daniel can be heard hurting himself and yelling at the hotel manager "FUCK YOU BITCH" while also calling her a "FUCKING IDIOT". He also threatens to leave Colorado over the businesses in Golden reporting him. He states that he can't make a living in Colorado due to the local businesses working against him. In TikToks posted after the incident Daniel claims the hotel stole $2,000 from him as he booked a room for one week but refused him.
