Another theory, which seems the most reasonable, is that Daniel dropped his phone, smashing the screen, including the area around the front and/or back camera. In order for Daniel to prevent hurting himself from the broken shards of glass around the camera, and to protect the phone itself, it is thought that Daniel put on layers of translucent tape, causing the fog to occur.

Another theory is that Daniel left his phone out in the rain, or dropped it in a body of water, causing condensation to form underneath the screen on top of the front facing camera. This is plausible, however, it is important to note that [https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/na0pwt/every_major_event_of_daniel_larson_career_took_me/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 the fog receded and came back on multiple occasions], so unless Daniel was consistently dropping his phone into bodies of water, it is unlikely for this to be the case.

The Final, and most disturbing theory is that The Fog was caused due to Daniel ejaculating on his phone and letting it dry. As ridiculous as this sounds, it is not out of the realm of possibility, due to Daniel's crippling sex addiction and depravity, and the mysterious nature of The Fog's appearance and disappearance.

The Fog has made periodic appearances, most notably through "The Glare", where Daniel's camera would seemingly be blurred due to glaring from light sources surrounding him. These would be more prevalent during the winter months between 2021-2024.

The following occurrence of the fog was posted in July 2021 on one of Daniel's previous TikTok accounts, @daniellarsonishere.

The Fog refers to a period of time in 2021, wherein videos Daniel recorded would have a blurry, fog-like effect placed over it. There is much speculation as to what "the fog" actually was, as there was no concrete answer, or evidence for any claims main, though it has since been debunked.

Debunking of the Fog

In October of 2023, Daniel claimed on the @daniellarsonfreedom TikTok account that the fog was caused by management telling him to place tape on his camera before peeling it off to bolster “extra publicity”.[1] Based on the numerous theories and evidence including DMs from the time, this has been proven to officially debunk the Fog Arc.

The Fog has made periodic appearances, most notably through "The Glare", where Daniel's camera would seemingly be blurred due to glaring from light sources surrounding him. These would be more prevalent during the winter months between 2021-2024.
