Funnily, the boy interviewing Daniel is accompanied by his grandfather, who seems oblivious to Daniel's past and, at points, shows genuine engagement and interest with what Daniel is saying. After requesting the mods of the subreddit, @Monkeyman56783 was given the exclusive tag of "Daniel Larson Hunter."

The Lead Up

Some time in late June, a Reddit account by the name of @Monkeyman56783 made a post to the r/Daniellarson subreddit, inquiring about how he could find Daniel in Denver, as he was going to be there soon. Most commenters dismissed the posts veracity, leaving comments telling him to check highway underpasses, find the scent of piss and follow it, or text Daniel telling him he's a minor.

@Monkeyman56783 first post to the Daniel Larson subreddit, inquiring on Danderson's location.
